Our Vision

Balanced Living Psychiatry located in Seattle's Fremont neighborhood is based on the concept that psychiatric medications are a tool, but not the entirety of the solution. To achieve mind-body wellness, one must consider developing introspection and insight through psychotherapy, learning to self-care and set boundaries in one’s work and professional lives, and to understand the power of controlling one’s thoughts through mindfulness, yoga, meditation, and other Eastern complementary practices.

With these concepts in mind, Dr. Michelle Zipperman is pleased to announce the future vision for Balanced Living Psychiatry:

Wellness Center

In the next few years, the plans for Balanced Living Psychiatry include an integrated wellness center with psychotherapists, complementary medicine practitioners, and prescribing doctors under one roof. It will be a one-stop-shop for everything you need to achieve and maintain wellness and good health.

Yoga and Meditation

We will be offering yoga therapy and meditation techniques to our patients as part of our focus on holistic health. These practices can help our patients to achieve balance and healthfulness, especially when combined with medication management and/or psychotherapy as needed.
